This is a downer of an article, but as I pointed out in a Governing magazine article two years ago, all those people working from home two or more days a week will want to take a break and get out and see other people, even if that means taking their laptop with them to work at a lively coffee shop. That’s an opportunity for bedroom communities to create gathering places, what would have been called “third places” 30 years ago, but are now today’s “second place”.
